Frequently Asked Questions

What is fiber-to-the-home technology?

Fiber technology uses thousands of glass cables bundled together into strands to transmit data through pulses of light with connectivity at extremely high speeds. Fiber optic cables are buried in the ground and deliver broadband internet connections directly to the home.

How will fiber technology improve my broadband service?

By utilizing fiber optic cables and direct connection to the home, a fiber network is used in place of slower and lower bandwidth cables like DSL or coaxial wires. Through fiber to home networks, homeowners will get faster internet service with increased bandwidth – but also have a more continuously reliable connection much fewer outages.
