Cajun Broadband Honored in Inc. Magazine’s List of 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies

BROUSSARD, La. (AUGUST 15, 2023) – Today, Cajun Broadband was named to Inc. Magazine's list of America's 5000 fastest-growing companies.

Cajun Broadband, a locally owned and operated internet service provider, ranked 603 out of 5,000 based on the company’s revenue growth rate over the past three years—positioning the organization among the top 12% of the fastest-growing companies in the United States. This achievement marks the company’s first appearance, ranking fourth among Louisiana companies due to a 974% three-year growth.

One of Cajun Broadband's founders and managing director, Chris Disher, said, "As a young company, it is a true honor to be named to such a prestigious list. My business partner, Jimmy Lewis, and I started Cajun Broadband to provide reliable, high-speed internet services to our neighbors in rural areas of Louisiana. Because of our growth, we can expand our infrastructure to offer this essential service to more people than we thought was possible. We are proud of what we have accomplished and excited to see how Cajun Broadband continues to grow and serve the people of South Louisiana."

In 2022, Cajun Broadband received a $20 million grant from the Granting Underserved Municipalities Broadband Opportunities (GUMBO) grant program through the Louisiana Office of Broadband Connectivity and Development to deploy 12 fiber infrastructure projects in South Louisiana. Cajun Broadband went on to complete the first GUMBO project in Louisiana in St. Martin Parish and has now brought high-speed and reliable fiber internet to hundreds of homes throughout Acadiana that previously had little or no access to internet connectivity. The company continues to deploy projects in St. Mary, Assumption, Vermilion, and Jefferson Davis Parishes.

With hundreds of thousands of underserved homes remaining in Louisiana, Cajun Broadband is dedicated to expanding high-speed fiber operations throughout Louisiana to bring access to all communities and homes not currently served. The company also offers VoIP phone service,  affordable rates, and custom solutions for residential and business customers.
